Back on Parade

COVID and lockdowns were hard on youth organisations like T.S. Ardent but they are back to business as usual and in a newly refreshed home for the cadets.

The Bollington and Macclesfield Sea Cadets, T.S. Ardent, have been part of the HMS Ardent Association since they also formed in 1982 and they are a major part of our reunion weekends. Under the command of Lt (SCC) Karen Black RNR a group from T.S. ARDENT recently took part in the Macclesfield Remembrance Day Services

The cadet unit are also running weekly training events in a newly refurbished area of the local school that hosts them. Karen told ARDLINES that this was the best way forward for providing facilities for T.S. ARDENT as their plans for a purpose built facility have not been achievable due to budget and fund raising challenges. However, the updated facilities are working well and certainly shipshape and ready for Admiral’s rounds!
