Remembrance Sunday 2015

Association members and friends of the association took part in remembrance services around the UK. Our Portsmouth based members held a wreath laying short service. Kay Watts reports: "A great turnout for Remembrance service from the Portsmouth Ardents. Rain held off so a nice reunion for us all to remember our fallen shipmates ."On Plymouth Hoe the usual Ardent stalwarts and representatives from the 21 Club witnessed John Foster's son Matt, extremely smart in his No 1 uniform, and Cliff Cowling from the 21 Club laid the wreaths.  Wreaths and poppy crosses were also placed in the Garden of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey as well as many other individual acts of remembrance around the country for our 22 shipmates still on patrol. And at the National Memorial a bench was dedicated by Charlie Ford for his son Stephen.[gallery type="rectangular" size="medium" ids="1638,1637,1636,1633,1634,1635"]

At the time of our national remembrance we remember our 22 shipmates still on patrol, " We come not to mourn our comrades, but to praise them"
