Around the UK and in the Falklands our 22 shipmates were remembered on the 42nd anniversary of the loss of HMS Ardent during the Battle for Falkland Sound on the 21 May 1982.

The gathering in Plymouth was welcomed by Stephen Earp, Rebecca, his daughter, presented the floral tribute and Steve Palmer did the role of honour and then the attendees observed a two minutes silence. Both Lenny and Tony were there along with a number of other Ardent’s and family members.

In Poole for the local Royal British Legion led a short for Stephen Ford's Memorial at Seaview , Poole. Other wreaths were laid in the UK and the crew of HMS Forth laid a wreath at the Blue Beach with members of the public and the Armed Forces attended the service for the commemoration of Landing Day.
